The Bible is a fascinating work and even if you are a non-believer, you might find it to be the greatest novel you've ever read. If you are a believer and have not done so, I suggest you start reading it today. This will be the most important thing you could ever do for yourself.
The primary objective of this website is to hopefully inspire a person or two to read the letter that God wrote to us, the Bible, and to follow in the footsteps of his son Jesus Christ. On the pages of this website, I will share some of what the Bible tells us about being a Christian and a few non-traditional opinions that I have studied. I pray that everyone that visits this site will consider the view concerning the rapture that is given here because of its potential importance.
NOTICE! The author of this website is not a formally educated Bible Scholar and is anything but an expert. He is simply an individual that loves the Lord and desires a deeper understanding of His Word. The opinions on this website are my personal conclusions that may not be correct. I have studied a good deal with others but have made it my mission to always come to my own conclusions. God wrote his letter, the Bible, to us, each of us, so in my opinion, it is up to each of us to choose to read it and ask for his blessings and understanding. All wisdom comes from God, so let your knowledge not come from other sources only, always verifying it first from God’s word, the Bible, and asking our Father for His wisdom and understanding. Learning is a journey, not a destination.
My hope and prayer while writing this is to suggest that each individual should utilize any resources available to him or her along with personal study rather than relying solely on the local Pastor or teacher. While the teachings from these individuals can be valuable, each of us should dig deeper and decide for ourselves what the scriptures are telling us. It is important to read God’s letter in its entirety, chapter by chapter and verse by verse, from the beginning to the end. To truly understand most scripture, I believe it is necessary to follow the subject of the book or chapter and to keep in mind who the book or chapter is addressed to. Some books, chapters and verses are linked to other books as well and therein lies the importance of studying all of the Bible.
Certain subjects in Gods Word are straightforward, but apparently God has left other subjects a little more in need of deep study for understanding, perhaps as His way of encouraging us to spend time with Him, in his Word. Certain prophecies may not be totally understandable but by knowing them, we may recognize them if or when we witness them, especially end time events. There are other factors I feel that can lead to misunderstandings such as inaccuracies by the translators from the original languages, not understanding word usage, slang, idioms, figures of speech, symbolism and traditional teachings that may be inaccurate. Ask five different individuals about some subjects and you may get five different answers. I do not personally believe any denomination, group or individual will ever in this physical life understand all of God’s Word 100%. We will though by the end of the Lords day, which will be 1000 years of teaching and learning. If we go into that day with a better than average understanding, perhaps our role during that time will be more on the teaching side.
As a child learning about subjects such as the Garden of Eden, the Devil and Hell, it all seemed then to be like learning about comic book or cartoon characters; these traditional teachings just did not appear credible to me. Even then I felt that what was being taught, or rather the way it was being taught, was perhaps incorrect. My personal studies as an adult have allowed me to see some things quite differently than what I learned in church and Sunday school as a child. Thru a few different Bible teaching ministries and churches I have been involved with, I’ve learned about referencing the original languages by use of the Strong's Concordance and considering slang, idioms and cultural matters at the times of the profits. Other historical writings are researchable and may also be beneficial.
The following subjects I give for your consideration to demonstrate what may be concluded by digging deeper. These are my conclusions and I certainly do not wish to have anyone be offended from me suggesting that what you were raised to believe is wrong, if I offer an alternative view from yours. But, if what I present appears credible to you, I suggest you check it out for yourself before agreeing, or disagreeing.
We should all acquire a passion for learning, enjoying it and sharing our findings with others. By keeping an open mind, we should also encourage others to share their findings with us and have loving, patient debate in fellowship. The litmus test though should always be, does it align with all of God’s word?
